Entering into a new decade is certainly both scary and exciting. When people say 30s are some of your best years, I would have to agree.
Birthdays are such a great time to look back and reflect on the year we are leaving behind and all of the lessons we have been blessed with. As I turn 31, I feel lucky to celebrate another of life, count my blessings and set new goals.
- Feeling more secure and confident with your actions and beliefs
The main reason I love getting older is how much your learn about yourself and feel so much more confident and secure with yourself in all aspects, mind body & soul. I learned that I don’t have to react to everything, and just not take everything so personally. Have you read The Four Agreements? If not, I highly recommend. Agreement #2 is “Don’t take anything personally.” We project our own insecurities. Read it.
At this point we have all had a lot of fuck ups that we have learned from, and will definitely continue to learn from. But you become more resilient and realize that most things aren’t really worth getting all worked up over. Ahhhhhhhh. Sign of relief. Our energy is so precious. I ask myself is it really worth it?
2. More financially stable (or getting there at least…)
Doing what I love and having a purpose is everything. Something I was unsure of in my 20s. Most of us tend to be more financially secure as we get older which helps to do more things you love! For me its travel! And eat good food! And buy Chanel 🙂 Money is energy. Don’t every look at it as a negative. The harder I work for it, the more opportunity I can have to take more advanced classes for my work and give more to my clients. The better gifts I can give to family and friends. The more I can give back to the community. And really so so much more. When money is looked at from a negative stand point or a lack, no one wins. This can be a whole separate blog post, but you get my point 🙂
