No matter how well we handle stress, it’s no secret that owning your own business is a stressful situation to be in. I started meditating as a way to start my morning and set the tone for the day. It’s so important to me to slow down first thing and give myself the right tools to stay focused all day!
Honestly, I only meditate for 5 minutes in the morning and occasionally 5 minutes at night. That’s it! It’s not a habit that requires a ton of your time; and it’s easy to find a guided meditation first thing in the morning when you wake up which is what I prefer to do.
Sometimes it’s easier to find a guided meditation because then there’s no thinking involved (which is kind of the point, right?). I’ll generally turn on relaxing, spa like music and a meditation from YouTube! It’s honestly that easy. I’ve found that meditating in the morning allows me to start the day with a clear mind, relieve anxiety, focus on my breathing and if it’s the evening- unwind or disconnect from the day.
