My client and friend, Tracy, recently introduced me to Monat Hair Products and I’ve been testing them out the last month. Although I was gifted each product, I wanted to make sure I knew about what I was trying and let you know exactly what why I enjoyed each item!
You know I can always get behind a company with meaning. The most interesting, and wonderful thing about Monat that I noticed when going through their site is that it’s a company that aims to give back. In their terms, aside from how natural the products are and how well they work for everyone. I love what they stand for as a brand: community, leaving a positive mark, practicing gratitude as a company. So, let’s get into it:
The revitalize conditioner is meant to help with hair that may need a little extra help getting life into it (aka volume!). The description really claims that this is the best product for thin hair, but even my thick hair loved the extra strength building products and scalp protection.
Monat Black Shampoo + Conditioner:
This product also boosts hair growth and reduces thinning. We know this isn’t necessarily something I have an issue with right now, but I’m all about the preventative game! Also, compared to other hydrating, oil- based brands; this is by far actually hydrating without overdoing it or being too dry. This product is also infused with Rejuvenique (below) which was my favorite product, so it’s pretty easy to say this worked beautifully on my hair!
Rejuvenique Oil Intensive product:
Hands down, this was my favorite product I tried. Not only does it help keep your hair and scalp stay hydrated by adding rich oils and antioxidants back into the skin and hair, but it actually kept my hair from being over-oily after the first day. For example, I love the smell of Morrocan Oil hair products, but cannot use the oil because it weighs my hair down and I have to wash it the next day or it looks and feels greasy. This product kept my hair weightless and shiny for a few days.
The Renew Shampoo immediately caught my eye when I saw that it was sulfate and salt free (heck ya!), so the hydration can actually get to your scalp and hair. Funny how that works, right? Hydrating shampoo actually hydrating is apparently an uncommon situation in our average hair brands. This product is also safe for colored (check), treated (check), and extensions (sometimes, check) so you’re all set no matter how you wear your hair day to day!
Blow Out Cream:
Ohhh, a product that helps you feel like you just got a blowout is music to my ears. To be honest, a lot of products that are said to help with hair volume create a ton of build up. Build up comes out in many forms, you guys, and non of them are good. There’s little to no build up with the blow out cream, and it’s helps keep your hair perfectly done for a few days with a natural silicon alternative called “Dermafeel Sensolv”. It’s natural and a win/win all around!
Tousled Texturizing Mist:
I’m a sucker for a good texturizing spray. Especially being in Wisconsin, beachy waves don’t come very easily and product is generally necessary to make it happen. The best part, though, is that this mist is not sticky which is the holy grail, you guys. Keeping your locks in place, and not being sticky is the way to go!
If you have any questions about these products or others on the site, Tracy is a great person to reach out to! During our time together on my brow table, I laid the questions on her and she knew it all!
